George specializes in lakefront properties on Torch Lake and along Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay. He was born in Oakland, California and grew up in Birmingham, Michigan. After a successful career as Chairman and CEO of a publishing company, he and his wife Jan moved to Northern Michigan in 1999. Married for 40 years, they have two wonderful sons and daughter-in-laws and six beautiful grandchildren. George spent his youth going to summer camps in both Northern Canada and on Walloon Lake. From this experience he has developed a real appreciation of the environment and activities that Northern Michigan has to offer. Today he still enjoys canoeing, kayaking, fishing, golfing, skiing, birding and camping. During his career George served on a number of non-profit boards including the National Association of Student Assistance Professionals, the Boys and Girl's Clubs of Southeastern Michigan, Troy Families of Safe Homes, and Students Against Drunk Driving. His education includes an undergraduate degree in Human Resourse Development and a master's degree in counseling. This unique combination of education and life experience has given him the business and people skills to become an outstanding real estate professional. What it Means to be a REALTOR
